BEAU RIVAGE

BEAU RIVAGE

Talking about the French Riviera, rich in artistic and cinematographic references, is equivalent to awakening images that have become anchored in the popular imagination, having became clichés from which it is very difficult to escape. These clichés are materialized photographically on two supports: on the one hand, the postcard, which highlights the exceptional character of the site, and on the other, the vacation picture, where it is the exceptional character of the experience lived by the subject who takes the photo that is highlighted.

The photographs in this series seek to escape from this fixed imaginary that parasites our gaze to show in a subtle and poetic way a French Riviera outside the cliché. These simple and sober images become the counterweight to the excesses of mass tourism and the excessive representation of our image.
